Upgrading from Vivoactive 3

I'm looking at upgrading from my trusty Vivoactive 3. It's served me well but as I'm now more invested in data and optimising my workouts, it's time for something a bit newer.

I'm looking at the FR245, 745 and 945. The Fenix series are quite a bit out of my price range. I can get a 245 for £210, and the 745 and 945 are the same price at about £400.

My main activities are running and strength training. Sometimes walking and cycling. I see the 245 doesn't have an altimeter, but the altimeter on my VA3 is useless so I'm not sure I would miss having one. The extra modes and battery life on the 745 and the 945 look good but are they worth double the price?

Or should I just wait until the end of the month in case a new *55 series comes out?
