How to reset Vivoactive 4 without losing any data?

On Vivoactive 4 there is a hard reset possibility which resets the watch to clear some issues but keeps all data.

Is such a thing possible on Vivoactive 3, and if yes, please tell me how to do it.

Yes it is, it is called a hard reset and is achieved by pressing the button until it shuts down. Press again to fire it up again.
