Hello, have been looking for a battery fix for the Vivoactive 3, came across a post on here from @guido_stoffregen Saying he'd tried a downgrade for the sensor fix. Just wondering if anybody had the download for the 7.70 firmware? Many thanks

The zip contains the beta and 7.70. When the device connects it will upgrade, so this is just experimentation when it is kept offline.
Thanks for that, will give it a go. Have uninstalled garmin express and haven't connected to phone to my phone, just so it doesn't auto update. will give my findings here soon.
From your other post I deduct that it is not a (os)software issue. There can be 2 flaws causing it, incorrect representation of the charge in the battery or a CIQ application that is eating the battery in the background. Can you check if you have apps or watch faces that might be the culprit of using the battery ?
You might want to try to reset the watch by pressing the button 15 secs until it shuts down to try to reset the battery level when the level is near empty. That would hopefully reset the empty level of it. Did you try to let it run until it shuts off or are you constantly charging it ? Just something I would check if I would have this issue. It cant be the hardware so something must eat the power or the measurement for empty is way off.
I think the sensor software is distributed separately, at least for some sensors it is. There is a sensor hub upgrade you can try but I don't think I have seen them otherwise before.
You can check on http://gpsinformation.net/allory/garfeat3.htm#vivoactive3 since they try to collect all upgrade data (the download links are Garmin's , so they wont all work) but I don't see any mention of sensor upgrades (probably because they don't collect the update info from the express documentation)
