Best Garmin activity to measure HR and Calories during crossfit?

I've been using the Garmin Cardio activity to measure my workouts but I find that my HR actually decreases as I increase my effort.  It seems wrong and Garmin are trying to tell me its about my wrist being bent which it isn't all that much.

I really just want to simply measure my HR during the whole activity so I know I'm working in a high enough zone.

Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • there are multiple issues with the wrist scanner during activities other than running, so using a chest strap was my solution (I bought a cheap Magene ANT+ strap) and that works fine on a cross trainer.
