High stress, even when asleep

Hi guys,

Yet another question about stress levels! Apparently, I'm medium-high stressed all the time, even when asleep. Is there a bug with this currently, is anyone else getting wacky readings? I've tried to read up on how Garmin calculates this and read about it using HRV..I have significant sinus arrhythmia (I'm a cardiologist..so I've seen the true ECG ) so my heart rate is incredibly varied, yet Garmin seems to think I have next to no variation and am therefore always stressed. HR data looks a lot more accurate although it occasionally clocks me down to 49bpm which I doubt is true. I know I should take it all with a pinch of salt but it makes me sad seeing the constant big red circle..might have to delete that widget!

Thanks in advance Slight smile

  • I’ve had high stress scores for the last 10 days. All day long, even while sleeping. I tested positive for Covid on the 19th. My stress score was normal while symptomatic & then it’s been crazy high. I’m usually low 20s & it’s freaking me out not seeing any blue. I assumed that even though I feel better, it was still the Covid doing it’s work. I would very much rather have it be a glitch!

  • Aw I hope you're feeling better! I've had both vaccines and test frequently, so I don't think I have covid! Hopefully it is just a glitch..I've had about 3 minutes rest during the last 48 hours apparently lol. Average score is about 62..eek.

  • I saw something on another thread about another watch & it being related to a firmware update. Resetting the watch fixed things. I don’t want to lose my settings, but my stress score is stressing me out! I might try that. I know my watch updated within the last couple of weeks, so fingers crossed!

  • I reset my watch & guess what! I see blue!!

  • Ah me too! More blue in the last minutes than I've had in the last 10 days. Annoying to lose all the customisations but at least it's working again now. Thank you! Slight smile

  • I was preparing myself for long Covid all based on this. My kid said “maybe your watch is wrong?” I was like, no! Haha! Thank you! If you hadn’t posted, I would have thought it was just me.
