Stairs counter not registering everything.

It's winter, the weather is unpredictable. Sometimes instead of walking around outside I go up and down the stairs, 6 flights at a time usually 12 sets = 72 flights of steps all told. Vivoactive on records 41 - 48 flights - why is this? TIA!!

After you "arrived" to the top, you must walk a bit around there (for 20-30 sec), so the watch can recognise you took X floors. Then you can go back down, again walk a bit, and go up again.
