My Vivoactive 3 was placed in service 12/21/2020 and has not tracked sleep at all. I have HRM turned on and have the latest firmware installed. A review of the manual hasn't provided any clues.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I did have the replaced, VivoFit HR connected to Garmin Connect but I selected the Vivoactive 3 as the preferred device before removing the previous device from the account.
You are correct, sleep data only comes from the preferred tracker.
Activity Tracking is on. The watch has been restarted.
Further investigation reveals there is no data in Health & Performance for Sleep, Heart Rate or Stress since 12/23. The only thing I can think of that would cause that is that I made a manual Sleep entry on the 23rd.
I'm thinking of removing the VivoActive 3 from Garmin Connect but I don't want to lose any data. Is there a way to do that?
Data is by account rather than by device so you won't lose anything if you remove the VA3.
Thank you to all who either replied to or pondered my question. I did a number of things attempting to resolve the issue yesterday but the thing I believe I can point to with some confidence as the solution is that I removed the VA 3 from the mobile Connect app and reinstalled it. It appears I've gotten everything operational. If not, I'll be back.
