how to keep stopwatch or timer displayed?

When I am using the stopwatch or timer, the VA3 reverts to the standard watch display after a few minutes, even though the stopwatch or timer is still active. How can I prevent this? When I am using the stopwatch or the timer, I want to see it until I am finished with it.

I have same issue, I want to ref my sons 4x 15 min quarters and whilst I can faff about to get back to timer, I look a right lemon fiddling with a watch instead of watching the game. Come on Garmin, this is surely a simple fix.

Thank you! Worked great. The only snag I found was when it starts you can pause but not reset, but other than that was good.

Did you correspond to the developer. He seems very eager to add such things.
