Chest strap

Hello , new member here

I bought a vivoactive music 3 watch that I use for my cycling workout. However I feel there is a delay in my heart rates from the watch. I am looking to buy an accurate simple heart rate chest strap that is compatible with the watch. I don't want something expensive and detailed as all the data (distance /calories etc) are displayed in the watch after each work out, all I want is something accurate

Any recommendations?

  • I bought a magene H64 for my crosstraining and it looks accurate to me, it is very cheap on Aliexpress and i saw some good reviews. Works fine for me sofar, although you should measure the strap against your chest since widest just fits for me and i am not that bulky.

    What about the Garmin ones?

I use Garmin's HRM3-SS for more than 5 years now (bought with the first Vívoactive), works very well. Don't know how accurate it is, as I don't have other device/s to compare with. I'm sure it's much more accurate than measuring on my wrist, I did a few times and got horrible results. If you have some extra money, I can recommend the HRM3-SS (AFAIK more advanced chest straps are useless for VA3 because the watch can't handle advanced metrics the HRM collects).

  • If you are wanting the HRM simply for HR data and not any other metrics. The Garmin HRM-Dual is compatible with the Vivoactive 3M.
