Running in the rain with my Vivoactive 3

When I run in the rain with my vívoactive 3 it behaves erratically, jumping between screens and even stopping the recording. This makes following the planned training run from my Garmin Coach 5K extremely difficult, in fact yesterdays run was rest (not by me) and not saved at all :(

  • The advice in the support chat was to lock the screen. That will not work because I need to tap the screen to move between each drill in the Garmin Coach 5K workout. The other advice was to try wearing the watch under the wrist. I'll try that but I suspect it will make little difference as the watch face will get wet when I look at it, and my sleeves get wet anyway.

  • Also you can try wearing the watch on other hand, at least a rubbing against a sleeves would be minimized?
