I did, they are replacing the brand new one I bought that is less than 2 months old with a refurbished watch.
The water rating is 5 ATM, meaning "Withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters."

I understand that. That's why I said give Garmin support a call, since 2 feet is clearly within the specification range. If defective, they will replace the watch under warranty.
