Garmin Pay wallet and Revolut card

I've been using VA3music with Garmin Pay connected to Starling Bank for a while and it's been mostly ok. It failed yesterday ("unsupported card") so I figured I'd add another card to the Garmin wallet. The only other card I have that's supported by Garmin Pay is Revolut.  I can add the card to the GC wallet and click Verify but it always fails with the message :

     Card Provisioning (Authorization) Failed. No further action is allowed for this card. Please contact your issuing bank.

The Revolut card seems to work ok and I successfully added it to Google pay. Contacting Revolut is futile. 

Has anyone come across this card authorisation problem - particularly with Revolut - and found a way to overcome it?

    In my VA3 I use Revoult - no problems

    During provisioning it checks first the data you enter, PAN, expiry date, card holder name and cvc. They need to be exact as on the card. The next step is that Revolut should send you a one time password (sms probably) to check it is really you. It seems it fails during the verification which means either the card data is wrong or perhaps you managed to get on Revolut's blacklist ;-).
