Stress on Vivoactive 3

Just wondering if anyone else has an issue with the stress levels on their watch the last few months? Mine is swinging between high and low most weeks but my rest heart rate is always low 60s or high 50s. I am not sure how I can get a stress score of 47 on a day where my resting heart rate is 60ish! Infact I had one say where my stress was 49 and resting heart rate was 55!

I have reset the watch, hard and soft. Cleaned it and it'll work for a little while after and then it goes haywire again.

Ive had a battery of health tests because I was worried that something was amiss but nothing's come up. My BP is fab!

Its gotten to the point where I've hidden all the stress data because it makes me more stressed to see it high when I am resting each day.

Just keen to hear anyone elses experiences :)

  • Hi, stress is based off HRV not consistency of BPM. I have found my stress score to be quite accurate, for example when I have a couple of beers or I am ill the stress chart reflects this. Google "heart rate variability" and it will explain better than I can.

Thank you so much! It used to be quiet low most of the time a few random days of high but now weeks are mostly high, been happening for a few months now with no extra stress, in fact less stress occuring.

I haven't been unwell and has a full doctors check because I was worried about what the high scores show.

I can be laying on the couch watching TV stuck in high stress!

As far as I can tell the stress function is pretty useless. I've had calm relaxing days that showed high stress and I've had days I was so stress I wanted to beat a coworker into pulp that showed low.

After a recent update my vivoactive started randomly popping up the stress widget and telling me to hold still and it would read in the high 90's even though the only thing I was doing was lounging about reading a book.

I've since just disabled the widget altogether and ignore it in the app.
