I recently moved back to NZ from the UK and I can't use GPS for any of my activities. Is there a way I can set up the Maps/GPS to work for my runs and bike rides?
Cheers.

Hi, I believe the watch uses GPS information from the phone, so I suggest:
Maybe you have to try different GPS settings on your watch (after starting the activity go to settings - GPS) since Glonass and Galileo are possibly not available in NZ.
Thank you!
I've had a play around and found GPS in the settings. I think it just needed a lot of time to register what was happening. Its connecting to GPS faster now! (No longer a 10 or so minute wait). Looking forward to measuring my NZ Lockdown exercise!
Keep safe!
Yes, the watch has its own GPS. However, I believe it uses something like Assisted GPS to speed up the GPS fix.
You are right, again. Still, I think it is a good idea to have the watch sync with your phone before starting a GPS activity. This allows the watch to also get whatever Assisted-GPS-information it needs to do a quick GPS fix.
Hello! When you select an activity you will go to activity settings and then GPS settings.
