Headphones Not Connecting to V3 Music

Last Fall, I was able to get my Anker Soundbuds Slim to connect to V3 Music. This Spring, they won't connect. I can't get Jabra Sport nor JBL to connect, either. The watch finds all, but fails to connect. Done the troubleshooting from Garmin that took a lot of time, turning off phone Bluetooth, soft reset of watch, deleting and trying to reconnect, deleting Connect app and reinstalling.  Nothing.  Garmin sent problem to engineering.  Have not heard back.

Is this a problem with the watch?  Does it need to be replaced or repaired?  Is it a software issue?

Thanks for advice,

Brian

  • Based on the generic quality of the software, lousy testing and a very short list of supported devices I would guess it is the software/blue tooth driver in the watch. I logged another issue with devices that can connect but do not support volume changes (or only up or down). They told me they would look into it (without promises) a couple of months ago. As with more serious issues on not tracking the heartrate correctly during activities (which should have priority). This company is about selling hardware, they do not give a damn about the software quality unfortunately.
