Does the power/data connection have a cover?

Just bought a refurb'd VA3 Music and I'm enjoying it so far. Seems to do everything I need it to do. However, I was wondering about sweat and the metal connectors on the back for power/data. Are those supposed to be covered by anything, like a little plug? Seems like a failure point.

Since I bought refurbished, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

It is somehow protected. I shower with mine and they can be used to record swims so it’s not a problem to get them wet

Some people buy third-party protectors, but originally the connectors are exposed, by design.

Amazon has a pack of 10 for like $6. I think the opening is fine but if you are worried for $6 not a bad deal I guess.

DON'T install a port cover. The port is quite waterproof. A cover will just trap moisture and - as others have found out - will lead to premature rust on the contacts.
