Hi, the strap that comes with the Vivoactive 3 caused some pretty severe skin issues, forming a red spot about the same shape as the strap area that was touching skin. Then it started to flake as it went away. It's not too pretty...I read a post that said Garmin takes these things very seriously and asked us to contact support. They seemed to be concerned enough to initiate a call with us, and (believe it or not) stated that the issue was that the band was not clean, or that we might be allergic to silicone (I've used tons of silicone things and haven't had this reaction), and offered instructions on cleaning the band along with a selection of non-silicone bands to buy ("You would still need to use silicone for vigorous activities but the limited time using it should help with the issue").
I got the idea from reading other posts about this issue that it's more widespread, and that Garmin wants to take care of the issue in ways other than suggesting customers purchase a non-silicone band.
