Hi,
in the past 18 months I always used the original Garmin running app. As soon as I start an excercise, the recognizes my external HRM (Polar H7) and tells me something like "external heart rate sensor found".
Recently I tried another running app (RunSafe+ by fbbbrown). Unfortunately this app does not recognize my external HRM. More testing with other "non garmin" apps (e.g. Running App Professional 2 by RH-Sports and others) showed the same problem. No HRM is found. Deactivating wrist based heart rate measurement doesn't help either. Those apps then show the message "heart rate on wrist deactivated" (freely translated from german, so the original message might differ).
Other build in Garmin-Apps (Walking, Cycling) work with the external HRM.
Does anyone have or knows about this problem? Maybe with another HRM, too?
