Can VA3 (not music) control Spotify - will it be able to in future?

My music controller opens Samsung notes on my phone... probably because I have no other music app than Spotify. Can Spotify somehow be controlled by the VA3? Will it be able to in the future?

You can use Garmin 'Music Controls' widget in conjunction with Spotify on VA3.

Open Spotify on your phone first then he should appear in the widget. I have 3 music players and my widget sees whichever one I am currently using. Good luck!
