I purchased Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music for measuring various activities but mainly pool swimming. Unfortunately the watch has not met my expectations yet. The are two main issues in the pool swimming app:
1. When I start the app for the 1st time it always measures the right distance. However when I stop my activity by long pressing the button and start a new session then most of the times the app does not measure the distance. Instead it reports it as "Relax". Even if the pace is similar and the stroke the same.
2. Most of the times the backstroke is counted as breaststroke by the app. Really strange as these strokes are totally different. Freestyle and breaststroke are always detected right but seldom backstroke.
The pool size is correct (50m olympic pool) and my average pace is 2:00/100m.
Has anyone else detected these discrepancies?
