Garmin Pay. Temporarily unavailable. Try again...

Hello,

in the beginning the Garmin Pay worked well, but after some time I've began to recieve this answer "Temoprarily unavailable. Try again..." ever time I fiilled password to unblock Garmin Pay. Obviously the card is attached to my profile and is recognized by system in the watch but due some (perhaps software) issue I can't use it. Quite annoying, I got used to this application. Any ideas, what's causing this trouble?

Thank you.

Petr

  • I am having the same issue.  Started after the last upgrade 6.90 (I have an APAC version).  Happens about once a day.  The only solution I have found is to restart the watch.  I do not know if it is related, but the when selecting an activity or long press for the controls menu the display blinks.  Garmin pay has become my preferred method to pay and this bug defeats the convenience of the service.

  • I am having the same issue. I am using the Chinese version in UK. I contacted customer services in UK and China, but both side didn't provide any useful solutions.

  • Same issue here. My watch was acting out regarding the link to the phone (not connecting). I paired it again and had to add Garmin pay again too. Now I have this message. Tried to reads the card and restarting devices but nothing helps.

  • There is a ' card'  on the watch and you see the reflection of it in the connect app. I can see they have changed things over time, it now needs to connect to the watch to see the card where it used to be independent on my VA3M that is. Honestly I would remove the card and see if I can set Garmin Pay to initial and just start over. The chip in the watch is mainly handling the nfc payments, so this message is probably generated when the watch SW is not able to talk to that chip. They have built some fixes for the VA3M in the past where it would just forget about the card in the chip but I would still see it in connect, so it might be one of those SW glitches that creeped in.
