not showing steps on watch or app

HI,  i was not showing my steps on my watch or phone app since Wednesday, Dec 11th.  I have been extremely busy at work and finally had a chance this morning.  I tried turning the watch off and on.  But in the phone Bluetooth it still shows "connected" but in app settings it is not connected and still will not sync or count my steps.  Can you please help me figure it out.  I tried googling it and still cannot get it to work.

  • After system updates you sometimes need to un-pair and pair the watch on bluetooth as I remember from some other peeps on the forum. So in the garmin connect app remove it and add it again.  Try to reset the watch by pressing the button until it shuts down, which is a hard reset. 

    If you have a VA3 Music, also connect to a PC or Mac and run Garmin Express since there is a bluetooth update (not sure that it helps, but you never know, Garmin does not specify what was fixed)

  • If steps aren't showing on the watch, make sure tracking is turned on in settings both on the web and on the watch. I have also found that turning my watch on and off prior to a sync can, under certain circumstances, erase the tracking data for previous days.
