Vivoactive 3 Stair count really high

For the past couple of days the stair count on my Vivoactive 3 has gone crazy. Today it was 27,691. Has anyone had this problem and do you know how to fix it? I have probably walked up about 10-15 flights and the rest of my walking was flat or on a treadmill.

From my own experience, one of 4 things cause weird stair count results.

1. An uncalibrated barometric sensor.

2. Windy conditions.

3. Changes in atmospheric barometric pressure. So if the weather is changing, it could skew results.

4. Dirt/Sweat in the Barometric sensor port hole.

The way to calibrate:

Choose an activity that uses the sensor such as Floor climb indoors or running / walking and wait 30 seconds before starting.
