Hi after wearing my Vivoactive 3 watch for just over a day I have had wrist plan tingling feels like a tens machine.

Tried on my other wrist and the same happened after a day of wearing it. I thought it could be the HR monitor so turned it off but pain came back after 6-7 hours. It isn’t constant comes and goes.

Could this be a faulty watch battery shorting or something? Really don’t want to have to return it as I love the watch. Battery has gone down to below 30% in less that 3 days also?

Thanks

  • Perhaps  it is just the way the watch that she rest.  It may be pressing on the nerves of the wrist causing her symptoms.  As a simple trial, I would suggest to try wearing it for a day with a watch turned off.  If he gets the same symptoms and is from the just wearing the watch and wait it fits or how tightly you have it adjusted.

    Hi Steph

I wear a normal watch which is the same size but heavier normally so I don’t think it is from physically wearing the watch. But maybe worth a try.

  • The VA3 might fit a little differently.  If nothing else you would have good evidence that there is something electronically going on that is bothering you.  Either a malfunction of the device or just a general intolerance of the technology.  Either way this type of thing Garmin seems to want to stay on top of - so give them a call or chat (do not email - doing so is as slow as snail mail).  I look forward to your trial of wearing the watch in the off mode - remote possibility but easy to try.

I haven’t been able to find a customer support online chat? I have looked at the support centre page but doesn’t seem very helpful for something like this. I did find a phone number so I might call once I have tried the watch switch off trail.
