Garmin pay stopped working

I only occasionally use my VA3 Music to pay for things. Yesterday, it told me there is no card connected. I assume that is due to a software update or card expiring or something. Today, I tried to add a card using the Android Phone App. The wallet screen tells me that there are no Garmin devices connected. This is clearly incorrect as the home screen shows the watch and I can sync the watch. But, every time I try to add a card the wallet screen says there is no phone? Anyone else experience this and have a solution.
