"installation failed not enough storage"

After I installed a Casio-a-like watch face i keep getting the messages

"installation failed - There may not be enough storage space available"

and

"Connect IQ Apps - Download to device failed. Not enough storage available"

every time the watch syncs.

I've checked the storage slots, there are 4 available and the storage is showing 255k free. I've also attached the watch to a PC and found that windows states there is LOADS of free space.

I haven't uninstalled the watch face yet, but I will try that next.

any ideas?
