Huge numbers on screen

Vivoactive has been working fine for more than a year. However, since last week my 'watchface' is being replaced by huge random numbers 10-20 times a day or more. I can swipe them away and my clockface returns. At the same time I am experiencing sync problems. What causes these numbers to come up on screen and more importantly, how can i fix it? (firmware 6.9).

I would remove or clear up the storage and cache of the Connect app and repair them. That usually helps.

Are the numbers 6 digit long? Sounds like the watch tries to pair with your phone, the big numbers that cover everything on the watch comes at that time. What can you see on your phone, in the Connect app when it happens?

Thank you for your answer, Yes six digits long. I have switched off bluetooth on the watch and haven't seen it once ever since. What amazes me is the fact that this has never caused any problems before. What causes the watch to go into pair mode 30-40 times a day, when it syncs without problems afterwards?

I'm guessing that you are paired to the app but not your phone directly.

If you have an Android phone, you can go into the Connect app and long press your VA3 in the list and choose update the connection. That should solve it.

Thank you. I followed your instrucions. Phone syncs fine. As long as I am within bluetooth reach there is no problem. As soon as I am a bit further away, the numbers start appearing...

I cleared storage and cache, no result yet. I think the problem is with the watch, not the phone. What is the cause that makes it searching for a bluetooth connection as soon as I am out of reach of my (perfectly connected) phone?

Did you try to factory reset the watch to see if the issue comes up with a clear start?
