Wouldn't hiking or walking be the same thing?
No....rucking usually involves carrying a heavy weight. You're going to burn more calories than a single walk or hike. You can track your distance, sure...but you're metrics won't be as accurate. It would be nice to have a rucking activity that when you start it, it prompts your for your rucking weight, to then more accurately track your metric...plus you get the correct activity for what you were doing.
It’s possible to create a custom activity :)
You can copy the walk activity, rename it rucking and add this field to it:
