Update to Sensor version 6.40 - what’s the new problems?

My VA3 just got updated to Sensor version 6.40. Can’t find any mention of it yet.

Wondering what has changed and what new problems it will cause?

According to Garmin Express. 6.40 (Improved sensor error logging, Fixed issues where optical heart rate sensor would be disabled, improved optical heart rate error handling)

My VA3M just had 2 updates, first one was a Bluetooth update to version 3.60 and Sensor update to version 3.10. No idea what they fixed/broke this time. Can't find any mention of it anywhere, except your post.

Hopefully, they've done something with altitude. It downright sucks.

Thanks! Actually I just launch Garmin Express and saw the report you referenced. I had forgotten that they often list the change log.

Totally agree. Elevation down right blows. I ride the same route pretty much every day. I know I at least start from the same place every day, my house. Some days my house is at 850ft elevation, and some days it at 700ft elevation. it's all over the place.

My vivoactive 3 music HR monitor was damaged after the update, went through all the customer service processes and I'm getting a new unit, seem theres no easy fix.

Seems to have fixed the problem I had with Garmin Pay saying "Try again in a few minutes" but needing a watch reboot before it'd work again.

Did you guys noted a better HR readings during Cardio activity?

Previously I would have a problem early in a run (or power walk) were My heart rate would be registering unusually high and then after about a half mile (5-6 min) suddenly fall back into the expected range.

So far since the update this has not happened.
