Quick first impressions. I Just picked up a vivo3 and I was shocked at how light this thing is. I have been a Fenix3 and a Fenix 5 guy. Strapping this on was like nothing was there. Super comfy. The straps are a bit thin, I am guessing 20mm. But wow are they comfortable. Super easy to change orientation of the watch through the software. Charging up now.

The screen is easy to read with my old eyes (43), I wear progressive Bifocals and without them on I can see perfectly.

cant wait to play around with this.

I may have found a keeper. Hoping the software isnt as buggy as other Garmin Products.

Will report back after first Crossfit style workout tomorrow.

    2.20 is buggy (the firmware the watch comes with)

    2.40 is pretty solid...


    but yeah, I've had pretty good impressions thus far as well. the watch appears to be half, or at least 2/3 the weight of the VA-HR and is way more low profile.

    I am digging it for sure. I just ordered 3 20mm Straps off Amazon. Even though I love how comfy the watch bands are, got to have different options.

    I am on the phone with Garmin right now, cant seem to rename an application or activity. This is my first time calling them and they seem baffeled and dont know what I am talking about

    where are you trying to rename it? Garmin Connect? web or mobile?

    So when you have a list of APPS - Walk Run Bike etc etc. You can copy an activity and then rename that activity on the watch. So when doing a crossfit workout it would show in the website as a crossfit workout. and when I scroll through the watch to start a exercise I can select Crossfit, instead of a generic like CARDIO

    You all got me excited and I went to Best Buy at lunch and picked up a black stainless model. First impression is good and I'm not as bothered about the touchscreen as I thought, but then I haven't run with it yet. I can't connect the watch to my work PC and the phone hasn't sent the 2.4 FW to it yet so I'll probably force it with Web Updater when I get home. (I pretty much only use an iPad for email and web surfing at home so I have to use Web Updater on my ancient Mac Mini)

    When I connected to my phone, It sent the update right away. I love the touchscreen, have not really used the side swipe function all that much.

    Ahhh, yeah not present on my watch either.. that is definitely weird lol.

    While sitting at a stop light on my way home the 2.4 FW downloaded and installed after I'd been using it for about 4 hours.
