Device Hang During Workout & Data Loss

I have VA3M. I have created a custom workout and I do it with watch regularly. There was no problem earlier but from last few weeks, I am encountering a problem. When I reach the last step, the watch restarts. The first time it did restart it erased that days steps and also didnt record that activity. After that it now does restart but retains the activity data. I do not know why this happens. This only happens with that defined cardio workout. If I go out for run than nothing happens. Can anyone help me?

    Can someone please help me here? Now it started doing restart twice when I reach the last set of work out. Is there anyone else having similar problem?

    Same here. I'm doing the Garmin Coach 5k program, and my VA3M has restarted when I'm almost finished my run on several occasions. Once restarted, the activity is paused (which I sometimes don't immediately notice). This has only happened on Garmin Coach workouts, never on a normal run activity.

    Same issue here. Doing the 10k Garmin Coach program and from last update I guess (4.0) whenever I reach the end of the workout the watch would restart, retain the activity data but won't register the number of steps taken during the activity or the intensity minutes. Only happened with workout, normal running activity is fine.

    It's pretty annoying to be fair...

    I found that each time the watch gets a firmware update, it needs to be reset to factory settings - keeping (some) user data - if not it behaves oddly. In my case it loses GPS during runs and does not lock it after lost.

    I am facing similar issue since last 2-3 months. It is very annoying happens with treadmill and Garmin coach 10k program.

    Anyone else got a solution for this? I got a VA3M for Christmas and so far I had done a few basic runs, however today was first time I tried a workout based run. This was a workout I had created with several repeating time based steps - based on a workout I had been doing before (in a phone app). As soon it got to the final repeated loop the device rebooted. When it re-started the activity was paused so I restarted and continued the workout. It seems to have saved the workout ok, however it has lost the steps and active minutes that I had done up till then. This is all very frustrating - up till this point I have been very happy with the Garmin. However will be a shame if can only use it for basic runs and not make use of the more advanced features.
