Can't download Spotify app! Device not compatible :(

Hi!

I am trying to download the Spotify app to my vivoactive 3 music, but I keep getting the same error, like if the device was not compatible. It is currently running SW version 3.60 (just sync'd), but when I access the Connect IQ Store, and I hit "Download" for the Spotify app, I get the following error:
"ADD TO DEVICE
You need to have a compatible device in your account before sending content to it.
You can add a device to your account using Garmin Express software on your computer, or using the Garmin Connect Mobile app (if your phone and device are supported)."

I have tried to hard reset the device, delete and add it back to Garmin Express, but the problem persists. Likewise, If I try to install Spotify from the Garmin mobile app (IOS), the Spotify app does not even pop up when I search for it within the Connect IQ Store interface. It looks like, for some reason, the device is identified as "not compatible".

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!
  • Very strange. You've connected it on the PC version of Garmin Express? It (should?) update to 3.70 which is the latest APAC version, or 3.90 which is the latest ROW version. Not sure why you're stuck on 3.60 but you need 3.70+ for Spotify to work.
  • After installing new FW, sometimes the app store won't know unless you re sync with Garmin Express or re-pair with your phone. Power off the watch and then back on and try one of these two.
