How to switch on / off easy and fast the Heart Rate measurement?

I want to use the Heart Rate measurement only during trainings
e.g. to save battery.

How can I switch on fast on / off the Heart Rate measurement?
The access by Settings... is complicated and takes too much time.
  • Turn it off completely and use a chest strap or an "upper arm" OHR (like Scosche, Polar OH1 or Wahoo TICKR Fit) when working out. Easiest way.
  • ...use a chest strap ...

I want to use the built-in wrist Heart Rates sensor.
    - that is why I have upgraded from vivoactive and purachased a vivoactive 3 a few days ago.

  • if you start from HR Widget, you can get to the Wrist HR switch without scrolling the menu. Just press and hold, then press 2 times the 1. point in the menu.
Is a little bit easier than going through Settings from Watch Face.

    Thanks.

Sorry, I do not get it: I "land" on the display design.

  • You probably missed the beginning. "If you start from HR Widget"
You have to scroll from Watch Face to HR Widget and then press and Hold to get the HR Settings on the first place.
You can reorder your widgets, so the HR Widget could be only one swipe from the Watch Face...

You will be disappointed a lot, if you start comparing the results from VA 1 with the strap and the VA3 internal HRM.
Your overall heartrate will raise about 20-30 beats, the resting heartrate (Measured 2 minutes after an activity) will fall from 50 to 10.
The Diagram will look like a saw...

Keep that in mind before selling the strap like I did!
After purchasing it again, I keep running with the good old VA1 strap and I´m happy with it :)
