Weird Treadmill Issue

Hi all,
If I use a treadmill at the gym or the hotel, everything is fine with my watch and activity, no issue at all.

If I use the treadmill at home, the watch will stop recording movement after a random amount of time, but obviously the Pace/HR/Time still continue/, just not distance. The result is I can end up recording a 0.5 mile activity that has taken 30 minutes to complete! Clearly not right.

I know I can adjust the activity but I would be roughly guessing distance based on time, but I don't want to do that.

So I'm struggling to work out why in a gym or hotel, the treadmill widget is fine but at home it isn't.

Could it be my treadmill is too close to the wall in the garage? It is the only thing I can think of. I have attached a picture of its location and my Garmin results from some test runs. It was like this before and after the new software release for the VA3 too so don't think it's that.

Cheers all.... ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1464756.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1464757.jpg

Sorry for the delay. Finally managed to do another run on the treadmill at home. I uninstalled the TRIMP as advised and ran for 30 minutes, and pace stopped recording after 15 minutes. Attached the .FIT file and a screenshot of the activity for you.

had746 yes I use a watchface, SC8 but that doesn't affect my treadmill runs in the gym etc... my issue is only related to using the treadmill at home.

I have had the same issue and what also stops recording accurately is the heart rate. It drops down to a 65-75 range (my resting heart rate is 60) while the treadmill and my iPhone app will show that my heart rate is 129-140. The drop in my distance recording correlates exactly with the drop in my accuracy of my heart rate (see NotTracking pic) I spoke with Tech Support and they had me go to Garmin Express and delete some files. This worked and the very next time on the treadmill, everything was pretty accurate (distance was off, but i use my treadmill distance and edit) (see Fixed pic) However, the next time i walked on the treadmill, i had problem with it ever getting my actual heart rate tracked, but it did give the mileage (again, not accurate but similar to previous off set) (see OnlyHRnotTracking pic). Then the 3rd time I hopped on the treadmill, everything was accurate again.

So for now it's somewhat working for me. It is not a big deal because i can edit distance and add in heart rate, but I would like credit for my intensity minutes as it supports a program we have at work.
