Can't Delete Playlist...

I've been here before about a month ago. Then, I loaded the album back on the VM3, deleted it again, and it worked. That's not working this time around.

There's absolutely no music on my VM3 at the moment, but there's a playlist still there with no associated music files.

This is clearly a bug. I know I can wipe the watch and start over, but damn, do I really have to?

And... if I do need to wipe my watch, can someone confirm that the data in Garmin Connect will still remain in my account?

Confirming myself - yes the data persists on the site even when choosing to reset watch and delete all data.

Still, this is a bug, and it should be fixed. There's no reason for allowing a situation where there is a playlist on the watch, with no way to remove it via Garmin Express, on the watch or via Windows File Manager.
  • There is a lot of problem with music VAM3. Can not save by Garmin express audio book into folder Audiobook.. If audiobook is saved into folder audiobook directly from computer watch sees only as music files.
  • Same problem here with my VA4. Clearly a  poor musicplayer build that needs a fairly easy fix but nothimg happens even after a year of complaints from people with all different watches that have a build in musicplayer.

Dont advertise it if it works like crap!

  • I have the same issue on my Fenix 6s Pro. It is a well known bug and nothing appears to be done by Garmin. I am compiling as many threads as possible that mention this issue on my forum post here. If you find any additional information on this topic, please feel free to post it there.

This watch is a piece of *** and a waste of money, would not have paid extra for the music feature had I known it would not work and instead corrupt the files of countless runs.

I regret every spending money on this watch. The music NEVER works and it ends up corrupting the data for my runs. It’s a horrible piece of technology, not something I’d expect in this day and age. Has given me more stress and frustration than anything else in my life at this point. I’m done trying to tinker with this piece of *** watch with no help from garmin

I have  VA4s and i cant delete podcasts from my watch. They are appearing in my MyMusic folder on Garmin Express but not in my Vivoactive folder and are appearing on my watch. My music is a different story. Its not appearing at all in MyMusic or Vivoactive folder but is appearing on my watch.

I'm really disappointed as I spent a lot extra to get this fitness device because it could play music and podcasts without having to take my phone hiking with me and now it turns out that it cant and worse still, that Garmin haven't been able to find a fix for it in the year that I can see people have been complaining. Now that we're in lockdown and people arent buying new trackers so often, perhaps Garmin could assign someone to the task of fixing this for us.
