Missing data fields after 5.70 update

After the automatic update to firmware 5.70 some data fields are missing: at least "Elevation" and "Floors Climbed". Funny enough, "Floors Descending" is still there.

Is this a deliberate feature removal (like the manual altimeter setting in a previous firmware) or is it a fault of my watch?

    I have the same problem: I wanted to add the elevation field for running activities but it's not available (I don't know if before this update it was available, I didn't try before). BUT I can see it for biking activities... that's very annoying

    It is a disaster. Same here, I live in a hilly area in Norway and I rely a lot on elevation data.

    i can only speculate in the reason. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it is because of the unbelievable strange place of the barometric sensor. (My elevation data has always been bad).

    If if you use the watch for biking you will most likely give the barometric sensor enough “breathing space” if you mount it on a bike holder.

    I just checked on my watch and I'm able to add 3 elevation options (Elevation, Total Ascent and Total Descent) to running: Mine is VA3 5.70.

    Had746, where did you find those fields? In run settings or bike settings? In run settings I can see only these groups of fields: Timer fields, Distance fields, Pace fields, Speed fields, HR fields, Cadence fields, Temperature fields, Other Fields. But none of these has the elevation fields that you mentioned. VA3 5.70 until yesterday, now 5.90

    In run settings, when editing data fields there are Elevation Fields and inside are 3 fields I mentioned. I use 4 field layout if that makes any difference. Maybe try factory reset.

    Elevation field choice at particular activity are not there for me with GPS+GALILEO. Re-appear when choosing GPS OR GPS+GLONASS. Previously selected Elevation fields stay when switching to GPS+GALILEO. Looks like a bug.

    Same here. I went through all the built-in activities to test this and it affects them all.

    Thank you had746 and xkarel! The problem was the GPS+Galileo setting!

    Switching to GPS only from GPS + Galileo fixes the issue. Thank you
