Syncing/Watch Face issues after 5.70 Update

Since the 5.70 update, once or twice per day, my watch is not able to sync with my phone. I am aware of when this happens because the watch no longer shows the watch face that I downloaded from the Connect IQ store. When I try to add the watch face back, there is an IQ with a '!' next to it and nothing happens when it is selected. If I power off the watch and turn it back on, the watch re-syncs and I am able to access the watch face again. I tried a hard reset, but am still having the issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm also seeing this issue after the 5.70 update. Happened 3 times in the last 24 hours.
  • I'm not seeing this, Have you tried a different watch face? The one I use is ActiFace.

I'm having the same issue It happens multiple times a day.
  • I have not seen that happen yet with 5.70. I'm using KISS Analog. I saw a similar error on 5.60 with Clean Analog Plus watch face though. Not sure if this problem is watch face dependent or a function of the firmware version.

I have exact same problem! 2 different watch faces and i tried to log a workout and everytime i pressed buttonto start the screen would return to selectuon screen for type of workout. Restart watch fixed it for a few but problem keeps returning. All started after update.
  • I use NoFrills. I just deleted and reinstalled the watch face. I'll report back whether or not that solved the problem.
  • Same is happening here. Not a single IQ watch face will work more than a few hours - I tried both Garmin and 3rd party faces, all fail after a few hours. Once they fail, watch will no longer sync until a reboot. This continues to happen as long as an IQ watch face is installed, even if it is not the active watch face (only can tell becuase of the failed sync when using a built-in watch face). My wife has the same watch and phone, but is not experiencing any of these problems.. only difference I can think of is that I also have the Stryd footpod data field installed and she does not. Otherwise, our setups are identical.

I've uninstalled all non-built in watch faces to see what happens next.

I too am experiencing the same issue since the upgrade. Is there a way to roll back the upgrade?
  • Exact same problem here. A hard reset did not correct the issue. I don't have my footpod paired with this device.
  • I don't have the watch face issue but am experiencing sync issues. I have found turning off then back on helps. Hopefully a fix will be released soon.
