I just got my watch a few days. Just wondering if the side button is really hard to press? When unlocking or just even starting an activity, it takes quite an effort to press down the button to unlock. Anyone have the same problem?
No. Mine is very easy to press. If yours is not locked (a lock appears on the display when you press the button or touch the screen), yours is probably defective.
Rcua08: Mine's the same! I thought mine was defective, but I tested with a family friend who has a VA3 (non-music) and his was exactly the same. The button seems to click twice, with the second click being the one that activates the press. I suspect there's a waterproof seal there and that's why it's harder to press than other watch buttons. When I got the watch though I spent ages googling "button hard to press, double click to press" etc and nothing showed up!!
Took me a while to get used to it, but now I just know to press with a decent amount of force before doing anything.
muppetman you didn't get it checked on their service center? I feel like it is such an inconvenience. Like this morning i woke up feeling groggy from yesterday's run and wanted to check on my watch, my fingers still feel weak to hard press on the side button. Clenched my fist a few times just to have my strength back. Lol
