Fully Compatible Headphones?

Is there a list of the headphones that are fully compatible with the watch somewhere? All I've been able to find is the strategic partners page, which only has 3 options shown, none of which are what I'm looking for. That can't actually be the full list, can it? I want a set of truly wireless earbuds that stay in my ears and don't hurt. I have a pair that works great with the watch (not one of the brands on the partners page), but they don't stay in my ears well enough when I'm working out. The pair I have now stays in my ears great, but have an issue where the bottom end of the volume range doesn't work (which is where I want the volume. I've stuffed pieces of ear plug foam in them, which works well enough, I guess, but is less than ideal). I've been thinking about getting another pair for other reasons, but I don't want to end up with another set that doesn't work right with my watch. Help?
  • There is this thread on the 645M forum. It is basically a collaborative effort from forum members regarding their experience with various models. The list is very extensive and should translate over to the vivoactive 3 Music.
  • I am also posting the link from our Support Center site that has a list of compatible headphones: Bluetooth® Headphone Compatibility for Garmin Wearables. We are continuously working on expanding this list. This may help your search for new headphones.

That is a ridiculously short list. Not a single set on there are truly wireless, so unfortunately, that doesn't help me. Long hair + wires + working out is not a good combination. Since there is such a small official list, is there any way to tell if something not on there will work, short of trying it?
  • CandyKhorne did you look at this thread?

I did, and it was very helpful, though there weren't a whole lot of truly wireless sets on there either. I am definitely considering some of those, but was also hoping to get an official answer on whether there was a way to tell if something would work short of trying it.
  • I got the Sennheiser Momemtum True Wireless (MTW) for Christmas...

    Sennheiser MTW + VA3m + Deezer = a solid pair...

As expensive but fantastic pair of true wireless.... Sound amazing and fully featured. Good fit, good sound isolation (+ ambient noise ON/OFF), good and confortable fit, good battery life etc...
All the watch function can be control directly from the touch panels on the earbuds (play, pause, skip, back, volume up and down etc).

Absolutely NO disconnect between ears buds and between Ear buds and the VA3m... the Bluetooth link is super solid and stable. (I wear the watch on the left wrist and the master ear bud is on the right) Works perfectly whatever I do, even with my watch behind my back etc...

    Work perfectly together !!!
Expensive but you get what you pay for. One of the best True Wireless currently available.
  • Ended up going with the Jaybird Run set. Took some fiddling to get them adjusted right to fit in my ears, but I think I've got them set right now. Connects to my watch just fine, no issues walking around my office. I'll report back once I've had a chance to test them during a workout.
  • @Garmin Why is this thread gone/not accesible anymore? I believe it happend after the forum software update...

  • The link to the FR645 experience list is here:

    Headset compatibility list

Unfortunately, the new forum software doesn't show the table properly.

  • Super old thread, but I have finally had the chance to take my Jaybird Run earbuds to the gym.  They worked great.  A little bit of super momentary drop out when I was walking up the stairs, but zero issues while I was lifting.  They stayed in great as well.  One of them got slightly loose when I was jumping, but after I reseated it, no further problems even with more jumping.  Highly recommend.
