Music too loud

Hi,

the minimum volume of the vivoactive 3 Music is much too loud. I tested with custom mp3s and the headphones "TaoTronics TT-BH026". When using these headphones with my phone the minimum volume is perfect.

Any helpful ideas?

Thanks
  • Are you able to adjust the volume on the TaoTronics headphones? Unfortunately, it may be a compatibility issues between the headphones and the vivoactive 3 Music. You can try to remove and reconnect the headphones to the vivoactive 3 Music to see if that makes a difference.

I have provided the link below to our compatible headphone list:

    Thank you for your answer!

I tested reconnecting twice. I did not notice any difference.

Yes, I am able to adjust the volume on the TaoTronics headphones and this changes the height of the volume bar on the vivoactive 3 Music. Interestingly it seems not to be in sync. I observed the following behaviour:

    1. mute on vivoactive -> no sound
    2. click on + on vivoactive -> no sound
    3. click on + on vivoactive -> too loud
    4. click on - on vivoactive -> no sound
    5. click on - on vivoactive (mute) -> no sound
    6. click on + on TaoTronics -> too loud
    7. click on - on TaoTronics (mute) -> no sound

So it seems like the first step when adjusting on vivoactive does not have any effect on the TaoTronics.

It would be great to get an update for the volume issue as I purchased the watch mainly for the reason to listen to music while training and currently that's impossible without destroying my sense of hearing.

I had the same problem as you. As Garmin-Kara said, your headphones are not compatible so you'll need to get some new ones.

He has provided a list of compatible ones. I also tried a couple not on the list and finally settled on a pair of Anker Soundcore Spirit X, which work fine. If you have a browse through the forum you'll find some other models which people have found to be compatible.

I understand, that it is possible to buy one of the compatible ones, but don't really want to. Mine are decent and cheap. I expected this device to be compatible with almost all bluetooth devices and now I am realizing, that there are merely 7 models officially supported. That's very limited and not at all what I expected when reading "Easily download up to 500 songs to your watch, and connect with Bluetooth® headphones (sold separately) for phone-free listening". So I am quite disappointed and still hoping for an update.

Hi Mark. Are you still using the Soundcore Spirit X with your Vivoactive 3 Music watch? Have you experienced any Bluetooth issues, either inside or outside exercise? Also, how is the watch overall? Cheers.
