Alarm cannot be dismissed

The set Alarm cannot be dismissed if the watch is locked (manual or automatic) with firmware 5.50.
So, first you need to unlock the watch pressing long the side button, then you can tap the snooze or dismiss.
The alarm should automatically unlock the watch.

By the way, why the snooze is green while dismiss is red? I would color the other way, it's very confusing and counter productive.
  • Normal ;) le locking mode is made for that ;) no screen action and unwanted dismiss alarm witout unlock.

The point is, that the Alarm should unlock the watch to be able to respond for that. In this case, before the alarm is triggered nothing unwanted can be done, but you can react on it when it's activated.

Green to"go" or continue the alarm and red to stop. It makes sense to me. How do you find it counter productive?
  • Most important for me when alarm fire is the Snooze feature. I do not want that alarm can be canceled by an unwanted touchscreen when I want snooze because the event I want alarmed it is not finish.

Green to snooze? What do you press by reflex? Green; as your brain taught to press the green if something is OK/done. However, I want to wake up, not sleep back for another 5 min (there are tons of articles on the internet that snoozing makes more harm than good), which means I want to dismiss the alarm and get out from bed.

If the Alarm buzzes your wrist, most probably you wake up, at least to a level to press the button you want. And you have the same chance to press the dismiss as to press the snooze, so it's independent from the lock. Taking it in account, the screen can be unlocked while the alarm is fired to be able to react Snooze or Dismiss at the moment you recognise the watch is buzzing.

I'm not sure what you're referring to here. Are you saying your brain taught you as a natural reflex? Anyway, to answer your question, no. In almost every instance I can think of, green means go or continue and red to stop or complete. Best example I can think of off hand would be a traffic signal.

    Yes, exactly.
What I try to explain is that if you set up an alarm, because you have to do something (wake up or get on your way from work at a given time to arrive somewhere, etc) then you press dismiss when the notification received, the information is processed and you acknowledge you have to do something. In this case, the OK is green (which is now red).
While snoozing, delaying doing something means you are not ready with that, means it could be the red, as that's not (yet) done.

I guess I see it differently than you. My alarm app on my phone has a blueish gray button for snooze (not green), but the off button is red.

Seems :) anyway, the color is a sidetrack, the main point is to unlock the watch when the alarm is fired.

Totally unacceptable to cancel an alarm just by raising his sweater sleeve to watch his watch. Must stay locked until you are able to see what you do.
