Just FYI. You won't get steps counted when you are walking pushing a cart, mower, stroller etc. If you want credit for those steps put the watch in your pocket.

I have heard this several times, but at least mine counts the steps correctly when pushing a golf push trolley. Should not be technically different counting steps compared to baby cart?
Do you push your golf caddie one one hand or both? I suspect you push it with the opposite hand from where your Garmin is? Basically anything you push with both hands will not register correct step count. At least that's been my experience with a vivoactive HR, vivoactive 3, and now Fenix 5x+.
Have this as we've got triplets and spend half my life pushing a massive stroller. I just use walk activity when I can. Lose lots of steps but can't be bothered to put it in pocket or on belt. Same with mowing grass etc. My Wife has a clip on fitbit as an alternative to capture more.
I find myself walking and pushing one handed on flat ground but it's a big b****r to push. Single stroller should be a doddle ;-)
For the 2 handed activities like mowing grass, or pushing a stroller, if steps are important, calculate them based on distance and stride length. Of course they will sill be wrong on GC and the morons in charge at Garmin will never let you change them,
The RD pod can't be paired with a va3 at all. A normal foot pod doesn't count steps. The only way to get accurate steps when pushing something like a stroller of shopping cart is to use only your "other" hand, or put the device in your pocket.
