VA3M Bluetooth version/spec?

Does anyone know what is the spec/version of the Bluetooth on the VA3M

BT v4? BT LE?
What music profiles/codecs? (AAC, APTX, SBC,...?)

I couldn't find it anywhere
That would be useful in choosing a BT headphone..

On page 19 of the VA3M manual it says the Bluetooth ver is 4.2. I don't know about the other specs you mentioned. My AfterShokz Trekz Titanium headphones (BT ver 4.1) work well with my VA3M.

Thanks, this is more that what the support could tell me... They don't have any info on the Bluetooth profile etc. Not even the version ...

I asked the same question here: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-the-trail/wrist-worn/fenix-5x-plus/1413257-does-the-fenix-5x-plus-support-the-aptx-bluetooth-audio-codec and the topic was 'closed' so that no further discussion could take place.

I also asked on Twitter and when Garmin responded it was to say that they refuse to reveal what audio codecs the devices currently support.

Given that the Bluetooth standard mandates SBC codec support, and Garmin's refusal to reveal any further information on it or other codec (aptX, AAC, LDAC) support, I think we can assume they only support SBC just now, and simply don't want to publicise this.

Do you wear you V3M in your left wrist when using Titanium? I was getting a lot of drop out but both watch and headphones were low on charge. Thanks.
