No sleep movement data?

I have been using my Garmin Vivoactive 3 for some months and I noticed that the sleep data was not displayed in the Garmin Connect App (iOS). I clicked through on the sleep section of the "Last 7 Days" and for the most recent 3 days there is no data. When I click on last night's data, it says "No sleep movement data - to receive sleep data, where your garmin device at night." That's great, but I was wearing it. Is there some way to force the Garmin to record sleep data? Is there some setting that might have accidentally been turned off?
This is Garmin connect v 4.11.0.11. Vivoactive SW version 5.40
Any help is greatly appreciated.
  • I felt my VA3 reboot last night between 1:00am and 2:00am. When I checked by watch, No sleep data or OHRM data for about 1.5 hours before the reboot. Since the 5.4 update, My watch has rebooted itself 2-3 times. May explain the higher than normal battery drain.
  • Ok apparently the problem fixed itself. Below are two screenshots from the Garmin Connect app. The left one is 9:55 am shortly after I posted this message showing no sleep data for the last three days. The right pne is 3:48pm today shows sleep data for those days. I believe I synced the data at least a couple of times over the weekend since I did some running. So I'm not clear why some days sleep did not show up. Note that I slept without the watch on Weds, so there's no data for that.
    Anyways, seems bizarre to me.

  • I must have had a different issue then. I was only missing about 1.5 hours of data.

I have the same issue as you had, I'm missing exactly 1,5 hours
    Didn't notice a reboot though
