Charging with Garmin switching power supply

Hello guys
After two tries, Garmin Brazil has replaced my VA3 by a VA3 Music.
Ok, let's try again.
So, now I'm completely concerned about everything that could damage my watchI have an original Garmin charger.
Can I use it to charging this watch?
Other question: I have read that vapour (from the shower) can also damage barometer. Have you heard something about?
Many thanks
Hervandil
  • The charger connector from VA3 should work with VA3M, no issue there. It's much more important what current output you use to charge the device. I'd stick with the 500 mA computer USB port to be on the safe side.

As to vapor, I'd think boiling water steam may damage pretty much any device with sufficient exposure, but shower vapor is just too much water in the air for the latter to hold at given temperature, it'll just condensate on your watch and that's it. Since VA3M is 5 ATM water proof, I don't see any way how it could damage anything. But I may be wrong, there's indeed something insidious about vapor.
  • This charger is named:
    Garmin Switching Power Supply.
    Outpup: 5.35V - 2A (max).
It is sold in Garmin Brazilian site for external GPS and other watches such as Fenix and Forerunner series.
In the US site there is a list of compatible devices, but VA3 isn't there:

It was told that wouldn't damage the watch, but I'm not sure how VA3 Music deal with the supplied current.
What do you expert guys think?
  • You can use every USB-Plug which is made for charging.
This is a world wide standard.
