Zero intensity minutes

Hi, I bought my Vivoactive 3 last December and I wear it for almost all my activites. I never had a single intensity minute awarded.

For example, see the attached picture, which is a 4 km run I did today. Got zero intensity minutes for it.

Has anyone had this issue before?

I'm 27 years old if that matters.

Thanks!

  • @papapapavy: Ok, you should get ~20 * 2 = 40 intensity minutes with this run. Are these 40 minutes shown in your widget on the watch? Then we can see if the problem relies on the watch or on the sync between watch and phone. Hint: Intensive minutes are shown as usual moderate intesitiy minutes, but they count double (so 2 minutes for 1 minute intensive).

Thanks for your reply. I only got 22 intensity minutes (the duration of the run). At this point I will try to factory reset my watch and see if it makes a difference. I'll keep you posted.
  • I suspect that I get double because I use a Polar H10 since 2 weeks

I’m having a somewhat similar issue. My intensity minutes setting has been on auto since I got the watch. However, it was too easy and I was getting too many intensity minutes. I changed my settings to only give me the “double” minutes at HR level 4 and regular credit for HR level 3.

After making the change the watch stopped giving me any intensity credit despite the workout summaries showing plenty of time in each of those HR zones. I had to switch back to auto to get any credit.
  • Evilcasper Could you please provide a screenshot where we see your HR zones and a screenshot where we see the HR over the timeline? (see in post #9, the second screenshot can also come from the phone app like in #13)

Rueppi: When looking at your screenshots, it seems that everything is fine. You have to stay for 10 minutes in the relevant hr zone until minutes start counting. So you have to have >149 bpm for 10 minutes and only then you get double int minutes. Your run was ~30 minutes, 10 minutes until minutes are counting, so ~20 minutes remaining. You have got 1 Minute moderate and 35 minutes intensive, so you had 1+35/2=18,5 Minutes where you got intensity minutes.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my message, it counted 35 intensive minutes and gave me 71 total:

  • Oh I see. Maybe you had such a high HR after the activity? (It is often like that because HR need some time to get to resting level...) Did you wear the watch after the activity? Because you also get intensity minutes when no activity is started and your HR is high. Could you maybe share the graph for your HR of that day?
  • The break in the recording is during the shower 20 minutes after my run. The heart rate drops quite quickly actually (I believe), so I really think they are giving me double credit, which would be a bug

  • Ok, it is possible that is a bug then I think
