Rattling vibrations!

My watch now has a more than noticeable rattle when it vibrates and it is really bugging me. When i gently shake the watch i can hear the motor rocking about internally.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The most ironic part is that the watch has not been abused (or used for exercise) that much at all so i am a bit annoyed.
  • Nope! I haven't... I think this may even be the first time I've heard of this one. I'd say it's defective and would take it back for an exchange
  • Have the same problem.

its my 3rd Vivoactive 3 in a week :(. First two had a misalignined screen, now this one rattles when it vibrates.

did you swap for a new one?

    cheers

Not yet no. I turned down the vibrations to minimum setting and is just about ok... I'm going to wait a little while in case something else goes wrong then send off Under the warranty.

    Good luck with your one!
  • The irony of this thread makes me chuckle a bit - right when the VA3 came out, everyone was complaining about the vibration being too weak - and how it's gone the other direction and is too strong!! hahah - not to make light of your issue, but....just kinda funny....
  • Yes I'm getting this rattling when the watch has a vibrating notification. Really annoying. Suddenly started out of the blue. I wear the watch 24x7 but it's not abused, just normal use. Stuff doesn't seem to last anymore

  • I noticed the same problem, garmin bought about 6 months ago..

  • The same thing is happening with my Garmni Drive 51 that I bought 7 mos ago. It is not supposed to vibrate at all. When I tilt it back and forth in one direction or another, the parts inside slide back and forth, making a loud clunking or rattling noise, as if a shuttle is sliding back and forth inside. Garmin Support only offered me a refurbished model to replace it, not a new one, and I have to pay the return shipping to get the defective one to them that I bought new. Definitely lousy warranty. Most importantly I found through a Google search that this is a known issue happening with various Garmin products, not just the watch, not just the GPS I have, but other Garmin products, too. Garmin is selling poorly made junk and then only offering refurbished items to replace. Pretty bad, Garmin. You can do better than that. I have been a loyal Garmin buyer, but I will now think twice before I ever buy from them again.

  • Mine does the same thing after a hard sesion started to rattle and is really annoying

  • I have the same issue just started after a long run has anybody contacted garmin is this a problem or it is normal ?

  • They replaced mine straight away
