Backlight stopped working

I bought my VA3 last week and had been very happy. However, since today, the backlight stopped working completely which makes the watch barely usable.
I performed a hard resets and also checked multiple settings but I fear that this is a hardware vs software issue.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a defect to me. I would suggest contacting Garmin support.

What settings do you have in LongTap ->Settings/System/Backlight ?

the same thing happened to me, no backlight after I put a new band on

Hello! After going to the settings, system then backlight does this not correct it? Have you tried to reset the device?
