[Notifications] Anything better than stock?

Hi. This is my first week with VA3 and actually I'm happy to use it. Switching between daily Pebble and workout Epix was bit annoying. Now I have all I need in one package.
But till now I couldn't imagine how bad phone notification screen can look like. The one on VA3 is terrible. I know: big screen = big font. But why so big? Why do I need second line "1 massage"? Why I cant go back and see history of WhatsApp messages?
Is there any 3rd party app which will improve my notification experience on this watch?

I agree, i've just migrated from the Pebble ecosystem and I must say the watch is great, love the transflective colour display, it's what the Pebble Time 2 should've been; but as you say there doesn't appear to be a way of looking at any historical messages or a timeline of future events from my calender/tasks. Hopefully the devs will improve the software with future releases.
