Sleep monitoring only covers the part of the night

When I first got the VivoActive 3 it seemed pretty good about recording my sleep, all night long. Getting up to go to the bathroom was logged as being awake, and the periods before and after sleeping. Now I only see the latter part of the night

Another problem I am having is in any given night I get 2 of 3 types of sleep recorded: light, deep, REM, but never all 3
  • I’ve noticed the same thing. It is only showing the last 3 or 4 hours of my sleep. When I put in the correct hours it shows that I’m awake for almost the entire time I added which is about 4 hours. After a couple of hours it will show on the main page what looks like my sleep log should be but if I open the sleep log it shows the original numbers when I edited it.
  • Surely - this comes as no surprise given the VAHR track record with sleep tracking.

Garmin Support confirmed that my VIVOACTIVE 3 watch only records the "first" sleep period for display BUT: They also showed me how I can look at my sleep and "edit" to extend after my last sleep period.!!!!! Now I am happy and asked if they will put that request on there "future-to-do" list... Yes, for unimportant reasons I have from one to three sleep periods a day and want/need to track them all and now I can.
